GWAR Encounters Touring Issues Due To Covid-19 And Eye Disease, Pustulus Temporarily Fills In As Lead Singer

Pustulus seems to be temporarily filling in for GWAR at some upcoming shows after some band members tested positive for COVID-19 and some also have an eye disease. In an Instagram post, Balsac writes “#Pustulus is winning the brassiere race so far this tour. I mean, he is the lead singer this week, but come on girls, show Bälsäc some love!” The group is set to play tomorrow, May 31 in San Antonio, TX at the Vibes Event Center as part of their “The Black Death Rager World Tour” No word on how long Pustulus will take the leading spot.

GWAR last released their latest song “Berserker Mode” along with its animated music video from their upcoming album, The New Dark Ages out this Friday, June 3. The release will also come with its own graphic novel “GWAR In the Duoverse of Absurdity.” The novel sees the band portrayed in various costumes in an alternate universe where they will fight their evil twins, as well as ” the specter of rogue technology.” The album also features the single “Mother Fucking Liar,” released in April.
