People have been buzzing over the leaked draft opinion from May 2 which states the majority of U.S. officials voted to overturn the the law from the 1973 Roe vs Wade case, which gave the right to abortion about 50 years ago. John Cooper- singer, songwriter, and bassist for the Christian rock band SKILLET- has just gave way for his opinion on the recent ruling.
The draft opinion was written by Justice Samuel Alito, who was joined by Clarence Thomas, and all three of the former Donald Trump nominees (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett) according to BlabberMouth . Cooper made a 13 minute video in his YouTube channel addressing the draft opinion. Also according to BlabberMouth, Cooper mentioned that Christians like himself have been fighting nearly 50 years for this to happen, “People have been begging and pleading God to intervene. People like my mom, who’s with Jesus now, prayed and fasted and went to prayer meetings and went and handed out literature at abortion clinics trying to save babies.” He goes on to state how his family is also a supporter of pro-life. His daughter, for instance, works for a pro-life.
Another artist also addresses the draft. Christian singer for STRYPER-Michael Sweet- addresses the issues with the lack of abortion clinics women who were sexually abused, but goes on to state that “There are pros and cons to both sides of this argument. For me, as a believer, as a Christian, the pro-life pros outweigh the cons.”
