The Black Keys are celebrating the release of their upcoming album, Dropout Boogie, with two high-profile events. The legendary rock band have announced an exclusive performance at the Troubadour on May 11th, which will be internationally livestreamed exclusively via Flymachine.
The Black Keys was formed in Ohio by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. The duo is known not only for their unique rock sound but also for writing all of their music. The Grammy Award-winning duo have heavily influenced the music community and inspired many major artitsts.
The legendary duo took a four-year hiatus, as both members focused on other projects. In 2019, they returned with their ninth album, Let’s Rock, followed by their tenth album, Delta Kream. Earlier this year, they announced their 11th studio album, Dropout Boogie, with the release of their latest single “Wild Child.” The album, Dropout Boogie, is set to be released on May 13th, one day before the 20th anniversary of The Black Keys’ first LP, The Big Come Up. For the first time in three years, the duo will be touring North America in July. The duo will be accompanied by Band of Horses, Ceramic Animal, Early James, and the Velveteers on several tour dates.
