Cat Power is set to celebrate the release of her latest album, Covers, with a world tour. The tour is set to stop by in major cities across the world including Los Angeles, London, Paris, and many more.
Charlyn Marie Marshall, better known as Cat Power, is an American singer-songwriter known for her indie rock and sad core music. In a single day Powers recorded her first two albums in 1994. In 1995, her debut album, Dear Sir, was released followed a year later by her second album Myra Lee. Powers is most known for her ever evolving sound as she’s touched on punk. Fold, blues and even soul music.
In 2006, Cat Powers became the first woman to have won the Shortlist Music Prize for her 7th studio album The Greatest. In 2012, Cat Powers cancelled her appearance at Coachella, to focus on finishing her 9th studio album Sun. She’s known for her unpredictable live performances, creating unique experiences for her audience.
Cat Powers recently released her 11th studio album, Covers. Following the release of her album, Cat Powers will be conducting a promotional world tour. Starting May 28th, Powers will begin the first leg of her tour with a European tour. On July 16th, Cat Powers will return to the United States stages with a stop at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The U.S. portion of the tour is set to conclude on September 14th at The Center For The Arts in Grass Valley, California.
