Rob Zombie has announced a summer tour alongside Mudvayne, Static-X and Powerman 5000. The Freaks On Parade Tour is set to travel across the United States and features a stop at the FivePoint Amphitheater on August 12th.
Rob Zombie, founding member of the heavy metal band White Zombie, is known for his singer-songwriting skills and filmmaking. The artist’s first solo single, “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn)”, earned Zombie a Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance. The song was written and performed alongside the legendary Alice Cooper. Following the singles success, Zombie released his solo debut album Hellbilly Deluxe. Zombie became focused on his directing career with the release of the horror film, Halloween(2007), a remake of the original film. Zombie has directed several horror films including Halloween II, 31, 3 From Hell and many more.
Both of Zombie’s careers, film and music, are heavily influence by his fascination with horror and suspense. He’s known to use his director creativity in his live performances creating elaborate theatrical shows. Last year, Rob Zombie released his seventh studio album, The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy. This year, Rob Zombie announced a summer tour alongside Mudvayne, Static-X and Powerman 5000. The Freaks on Parade Tour features stops all across the U.S. and ends with special appearances at the Louder Than Life Festival and the Aftershock Festival. Rob Zombie’s brother, Spider One, is the lead vocalist for Powerman 5000, which will be accompanying Rob Zombie at the FivePoint Amphitheater on August 12th.
