Destroyer has revealed a new single and music video, titled “June” for their upcoming album, LABYRINTHITIS. The album will launch March 25.

The funky 7-minute track follows previous singles “Tintoretto, It’s for You” and “Eat the Wine, Drink the Bread” in support of LABYRINTHITIS. The music video opens up with a restaurant cook preparing a meal while wearing a mask (for the times), and later switches to a futuristic and almost robotic door-dash driver delivering food to Destroyer frontman Daniel Bejar, who continues the song – reciting verses of poetry.

The meaning of the music video remains: we know someone, somewhere made the things we so easily take advantage of, but we never consider them, and they’re often overlooked.

Written during the pandemic, LABYRINTHITIS circles new territory for Bejar with songs that promote more of a techno and funky vibe than before. The ten-song tracklist for the upcoming album can be viewed below.
