Movement Festival Announces 2022 Lineup Featuring Flying Lotus, Jon Hopkins, 2 Chainz And More

Detroit’s annual Movement music festival has revealed its stacked 2022 lineup. Flying Lotus, techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson performing under his alias E-Dancer, and Detroit Techno icon Carl Craig performing a special b2b set with LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy. Other acts include British beatmaker Jon Hopkins,  2 Chainz, Grammy-award winning producer Skrillex, The Martinez Brothers, Detroit’s own DJ Stingray 313, Maya Jane Coles, Duck Sauce,  Chris Lake, Soulection co-founder Joe Kay and rising Australian DJ and producer HAAi.

These artists join the roster of the previously announced headlining electronic acts Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, and Adam Beyer, as well as UK Drum and Bass legends Goldie and LTJ Bukem performing together for the first-time ever as Goldie b2b LTJ Bukem, plus Natasha Diggs; Anfisa Letyago, Blawan, DRAMA, The Blessed Madonna, ANNA, Eris Drew b2b Octo Octa, Louie Vega, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex and many more.

2022 will mark the festival’s first since 2019 and will take place memorial day weekend (May 28-30) at the Hart Plaza. Passes for the festival are on sale now via the festival’s website.

Murphy and his band LCD Soundsystem recently announced a couple of residencies in Philadelphia and Boston. It will kick off in Philadelphia March 28 with four shows and then Boston the following week (starting April 1) also with four shows. Tickets to both residencies are on sale now.
