GRAMMY-winning Swedish theatrical rock outfit GHOST has released their latest song “Twenties” from their much anticipated fifth studio album IMPERA arriving March 11 via Loma Vista Recordings. The track follows suit of the previously released single “Call Me Sunshine” with roaring vocals and heavy drums. It matches with its apocalyptically prophetic lyric video of “Twenties” as it relates to historical events unfolding on the world stage (however incidental). Check it out below.
The release of “Twenties” is accompanied by an Apple Music New Music Daily exclusive interview with Ghost’s Tobias Forge, with Apple’s Zane Lowe where he discusses IMPERA. The song also follows “Kaisarion” and “Hunters Moon,” which they performed on the first night of their co-headlining tour with Volbeat. The album features ten additional tracks and is produced by Klas Åhlund and mixed by Andy Wallace. It also features Opeth’s Frederik Åkesson,which Forge spoke about in a recent statement.He’s the sort of person who plays five hours every day. He’s so amazingly talented. He can play circles around anything that I put on tape and he can do it with flair.”
The band is gearing up for the last show of the tour this Friday in Anaheim, CA.
They are slated to play the Furnace Fest in September alongside New Found Glory, The Ghost Inside and Alexisonfire. It is set to take place at Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama.
