Opeth announced Monday that it will be kicking off the second leg of its North American tour in the Spring. The tour will be co-headlined with Mastodon, and will make its way through 16 U.S. and Canadian cities.
Formed in 1989, Opeth is a Swedish death metal band that was formed by vocalist David Isberg. The band will begin its tour on April 21 in Montreal, Quebec, and conclude the tour in Riverside, California on May 11. Ticket presales will begin February 8 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, February 10 at 10 p.m., while general admission sales will begin Friday, February 11 at 10 a.m.
Most recently, Opeth’s Frederik Åkesson collaborated on the metal band Ghosts’s album, Impera, which will be released in early March.
