Megadeth and Lamb of God Announce Spring 2022 Tour Dates

Megadeth is heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. They were formed back in 1983 by their vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine, along with former bassist David Ellefson. The band consists of Mustaine, guitarist Kiko Loureiro, guitarist Kerry King  and drummer Dirk Verbeuren. Ellefson was kicked out of the band last year. Popular album releases of theirs include With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness (1993), The Red in the Sky Is Ours (1992), Slaughter of the Soul (1995) and Sworn to a Great Divide (2007). One of their most recent releases was in 2019, a compilation album titled, Warheads on Foreheads.

Lamb of God is heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia. They started back in 1994, originally under the name ‘Burn the Priest’. The group consists of bassist John Campbell, vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarist Mark Morton, guitarist Willie Adler and drummer Art Cruz. They’re known for songs like “Laid to Rest,” “Blackened The Cursed Sun,” “Ghost Shaped People” and “Blood of the Scribe.” Last year they released their self-titled album, Lamb of God.

The bands have announced that they will be going on the “Metal Tour Of The Year,” a tour that will be continuing for it’s second time around. They will be joined with special guests Trivium and In Flames.

The first run of the tour was originally set for 2020, then pushed back to 2021, where it finally commenced during the summer. In Flames was supposed to play that time, but ultimately Hatebreed took over as the opener.

However, for the 2022 the original lineup is back and better than ever. There will be 23 dates total, kicking off April 9 in Las Vegas and ending May 15 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Mustaine says,

“The ‘Metal Tour of The Year’ is exactly what it sounds like – a night of some of the best heavy metal bands in the world – live and loud. Anyone who came to a show last year knows what I mean, only this one’s going be even better. Do not miss out.”

Tickets and VIP packages for the tour go on sale Jan. 14 at 10 AM PT. Be sure to grab your tickets.
