The American heavy metal band Fozzy has officially parted ways with one of its founding members. The drummer of the band, Frank Fontsere, has left the group after being with it since its founding in 1999.
Loudwire has reported that the metal band will replace Fontsere with drummer Grant Brooks. The band writes over twitter that they are “stoked to unleash the pure energy & talent that Grant brings to the band and we are ready to EXPLODE in 2022.” It is clear that the group does not intend to slow down after the departure of one of their members!
Fontsere has been involved on seven studio albums produced by Fozzy, including their debut self titled album, their 2002 album Happenstance, their 2005 All That Remains, their 2010 record Chasing the Grail, their 2012 album Sin and Bones, their 2014 Do You Wanna Start a War, all the way up to their latest album, Judas. It is not known if he has had any role in their upcoming projects, including their forthcoming studio album Boombox, scheduled to be released later this year. Recently, Fozzy has been criticized for not properly social distancing in their shows. Fozzy’s lead singer Chris Jericho also recently partook in the KISS Kruise, from the rock band KISS.
