Pavement Announce First Tour Dates In Ten Years For Fall 2022

After over a decade of spending time apart, indie rock band Pavement is reuniting for shows across the world. Their last studio album, Terror Twilight, was released in 1999, but the group got together for a reunion tour in 2010 in celebration of their compilation album Quarantine The Past: The Best of Pavement. And five years later, they shared The Secret History, Vol. 1, a 30-track compilation collection that Parker Warfield described as “a product of songwriting genius that couldn’t be framed in their LPs.”

The band previously confirmed that they would tour Europe and the UK, and they have now announced tour dates in North America as well. The tour will kick off on June 2, 2022, in Barcelona and conclude on Nov. 11 in Dublin. Three of the shows are already sold out: the Oct. 22 show in London and the Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 shows in Dublin.

The band will begin the North American leg of their tour on Sep. 7 in San Diego and visit Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Austin and more cities before traveling to the UK in the middle of October.

Although the band may not be releasing any more new music, there may be unreleased tracks featured during the shows: “That music remains untouchable,” reads the press release. “And eventually, we’ll surely celebrate it with an extravagant package of some sort or another – perhaps one of the band’s canonical and not-yet-reissued LPs.”
