Catch Shallou’s The Long Way Home Tour at The Fonda Theatre 10/23/21

Los Angeles based electronic indie artist Shallou is heading on a North American tour this fall after postponing his summer tour due to Covid-19. The initial tour was scheduled to stop in Los Angeles at The Novo their final stop on June 26, 2021, but Shallou will now be performing at The Fonda Theatre on October 23, 2021. “Excited to announce the Long Way Home Tour this fall 2021! I’ve rescheduled all Magical Thinking tour dates and added a few more cities to the list. Can’t wait to finally be with you again!!” the artist shared in a recent tweet.

Shallou aka Joe Boston is currently LA-based but hails from Washington D.C. He’s just released his latest album Magical Thinking on March 27, 2020 via Island Records. The album features electronic, house and pop influences and guest appearances from electro-pop artist Ashe, The Knocks, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, Daya and more. Boston spend much of his youth listening to his father’s favorite artists including Radiohead and Wilco. He cites additional influences like James Blake, Gold Panda and The xx as responsible for his ambient electronic sounds. He started his career in late 2014 by releasing several singles that caught the attention of music streaming sites and publications. Shallou is also a known activist, and donated the proceeds to his debut EP All Becomes Okay to the Environmental Defense Fund. In 2019, he performed as Shallou at several major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Life is Beautiful and Outside Lands. Boston has also performed with several similar artists such as Petit Biscuit, Honne, Roosevelt, Basecamp, El Ten Eleven, and Big Gigantic.
