UK punk rockers IDLES have announced their first US tour Beauty From Ashes since the release of their 2020 album, Ultra Mono. Tickets have been going fast for their Los Angeles stops, which will include Pioneertown’s Pappy and Harriets on October 30 and 31, Pomona’s Glass House on November 1, and The Fonda Theatre on November 5. It’s clear that fans have been patiently awaiting this tour, since most of these dates have sold out already. To the lucky ones who snagged tickets, prepare for a high-octane set from one of the best current acts coming out of Bristol, UK! Portland based punk rock outfit Lithics will join IDLES for the second leg of their tour, which includes their Los Angeles dates.
IDLES third album Ultra Mono received widespread acclaim, debuting at No. 1 on the UK charts, and in the US at No. 1 on the Emerging Artists chart. IDLES are known for tackling social issues through their music, including themes of active presence, inclusivity, class, gender inequality, nationalism, community and toxic masculinity. Ultra Mono was no different, and also saw prominent guest vocal features from Jehnny Beth (Savages), and additional contributions from Warren Ellis (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), David Yow and Jamie Cullum.
IDLES shared the following sentiment on their Instagram post announcing the tour: “Like all things and people around us, we are now ready to nurture a new narrative and tear the universe a new wound with love and fury. We are humbled to be in a position to smash on stage once more and we solemnly swear to show our gratitude every single night forevermore. Patience is love. All is love.” Grab your tickets quickly and prepare for a raucous night, furiously fueled by love!
