OC duo The Garden have announced rescheduled dates for their Kiss My Superbowl Ring tour, which will be starting in the US in 2021 and finishing with EU/UK dates in 2022. They’ll be stopping at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on December 14, 2021. The brothers shared a statement about the postponement of the tour: “Due to ever growing concerns, state regulations and for our audiences’ safety, all of our Kiss My Super Bowl Ring U.S. tour dates have been postponed. We already have rescheduled dates and will announce those as soon as possible. All previously purchased tickets will be valid for the rescheduled show. Thank you for your support during this time.”
The Garden consist of fraternal twin brothers Wyatt and Fletcher Shears, who have been making music together since 2011. They made their Coachella in 2019, which I was fortunate enough to encounter. Their live performance is sonically and visually discombobulating, with both brothers jumping around hyping up the crowd. Their brand of heavy, experimental rock will definitely make you feel cool just to know them. That year, they gained an even larger following as they played at several festivals including Camp Flog Gnaw and Sasquatch.
Their latest album Kiss My Superbowl Ring sticks to their experimental punk roots. Songs range from thrash metal with screaming to drum n bass rhythms and hip hop. The album features production from 100 Gecs member Dylan Brady and Kero Kero Bonito bassist James Bulled under his side project, Wharfwhit.
Only they could come up with a term to describe their sound: “Vada Vada,” or “… a term that represents total freedom of expression without boundaries or guidelines of any sort.” Grab your tickets and experience “Vada Vada” for yourself at The Fonda Theatre.
