Rescheduled Date Announced for Surfer Blood at The Echo 8/20/21

2020 saw the release of Surfer Blood’s fifth studio album, Carefree Theater, along with a 10th anniversary deluxe 2-LP vinyl reissue of their debut album Astro Coast and the Hard-Boiled 10” EP with special guest vocalists, all released via Kanine Records. Several shows were scheduled in January and February on the west coast around the new album release, but were postponed to August 2021 due to Covid-19. Surfer Blood’s Los Angeles show at The Echo is back on for August 20, 2021, with support from LA based indie artist Winter and The Business of Dreams.

Founding Surfer Blood members John Paul Pitts and Tyler Schwarz are joined by guitarist Michael McCleary and bassist Lindsey Mills on this tour, all of whom are alumni of the same high school in West Palm Beach, Florida. Their 2009 debut single, “Swim” off Astro Coast was released with much critical acclaim. 2010 saw the band perform alongside heavy-hitting acts like Broken Social Scene, The Walkmen and Atlas Sound. Several of their albums landed on the US Rock and Indie charts when they made their debut. The new album, Carefree Theatre, was inspired by the historic landmark theater of the same name in West Palm Beach.
