Toronto-based electronic duo Zed’s Dead recently announced a revival of their Deadbeats tour, which will stop in select North American cities. They’ll be hitting the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on October 2, 2021. The duo founded Deadbeats records in 2016, releasing hundreds of records from emerging artists as well as four compilation albums. They’ve since taken Deadbeats live with their own Deadbeats Tour and annual DeadRocks headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver.
Members Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan, said the following alongside the tour announcement in a string of recent tweets: “Can’t even put into words how excited we are to be announcing our FIRST shows in over a year… for the first time in WAY too long, we will be able to produce Deadbeats events the way you remember them – at full capacity venues with insane production, bringing all the Deadbeats artists along for the ride. If the last year has taught us anything it is to not take the little things for granted. We made a decision not to do drive ins or reduced capacity socially distanced shows that could compromise the quality of the experience you have all come to expect from us and the label, and to prioritize the safety and well-being of our fans, and to wait… and now that the wait is over all we can say is IT’S GOING TO FEEL SO GOOD TO BE BACK… This is Deadbeats: The Revival! Tickets on sale Friday. No RSVP, no wait list, no presale, no BS. See you on the dancefloor.”
The increase of vaccine distribution and re-opening of major cities should see more highly-anticipated performances and tours like these get announced. Here’s hoping for Fall 2021 to be the entertainment saving grace of the year!
