Catch Local H’s The LIFERS Retour at The Echo 9/29/21

’90s alt-rock duo Local H recently announced a North American tour and they’ll be stopping in Los Angeles at The Echo on September 29, 2021. The band was initially scheduled to head on tour in 2020 following the release of their latest album, but the tour was postponed due to Covid-19. They shared their excitement about the upcoming tour in a recent tweet: “Let’s try this again… At long last, the LIFERS tour will finally be a thing that happens — THIS FALL! More dates to be announced, but these shows go on sale this Friday.” This is one of the few live shows on the books for The Echo this year, and it’s exciting to see a beloved local, smaller venue come back to life!

Local H were at the top of their fame in the mid-’90s with the release of hit single “Bound For The Floor.” Their upcoming album Lifers is the band’s ninth studio album, released on April 10, 2020 via AntiFragile. The album features the band working with engineer Steve Albini and appearances from Juliana Hatfield and John McCauley of Deer Tick. Lifers was released on the 30th anniversary of the band’s formation, which only seems appropriate as they celebrate their long-standing lifelong relationship making music.
