The Undertaking! Announces New Album Funeral Psalms for April 2021 Release and Shares New Song “No Friends”

San Diego quintet The Undertaking! has officially announced that their debut album titled Funeral Psalms will be releasing on April 30. The band recently also released their song “No Friends” from the album.

The Undertaking! is made up of Brent Jasperse on drums, Keith Butsko on guitar, and Austin Visser on vocals. They stand as the founding members as they later invited James Moyer on bass and Johnny Mercuri on bass guitar and vocals later. The band is signed to Solid State Records

“‘No Friends’ is a brash reflection on how difficult it is to be a good friend,” the band explained in a recent press release. “What starts out as an accusation attacking others quickly digresses into the realization that we so often push people away and create our own walls of isolation. We’ve all had those situations where someone expected too much out of you and you ended up letting them down. Looking back, your response was to walk away instead of working through your insecurities and making the relationship better. The riffs also just keep punching people in the nose.”

The song begins with powerful vocals that scream the lyrics. The meaning of the song is amplified by the sound as it is upbeat and filled with a range of emotions.

The pre-order for the album is now available here. Check out the album’s cover art and tracklist below.
