Following the release of his 2020 album Bigger Love, John Legend planned a North American tour in 2020. However, Covid-19 had other plans for 2020, and his tour has been pushed to 2021. He’ll be stopping at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on September 21, 2021.
John Legend wears many hats as a singer, songwriter, actor and producer. He’s one of only 16 people and the first black man to have won all four of the following awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. He launched his career by singing hooks for Kanye West’s albums and was signed to West’s label. His debut album, Get Lifted, featured production by Kanye West, Dave Tozer, and will.i.am, and debuted at No. 7 on the US Billboard 200, and was eventually certified gold by the RIAA. Following his debut success, Legend became a highly sought after collaborator, appearing on albums with Fort Minor, Sérgio Mendes, Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, the Black Eyed Peas, Stephen Colbert, Rich Boy, MSTRKRFT, Chemistry and Fergie. Legend has also written songs for the big screen, including “Glory” which saw him partner with rapper Common and was featured in the film Selma. The song won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song as well as the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
