Japanese Anime fans can rejoice with the fact that they can soon see Japanese rockers FLOW live in performance on their 2021 World Tour. They’ll be stopping at the City National Grove of Anaheim on June 7, 2021. Their tour was initially scheduled to begin in 2020, but has been postponed to 2021 due to Covid-19.
FLOW is a 5-person rock band made of up KOHSHI (Vocals), KEIGO (Vocals), TAKE (Guitar), GOT’S (Bass), and IWASAKI (Drums). The band formed in 1998 and have since released 34 singles, several collaboration singles and 11 studio albums. Their songs are known for being featured in the opening sequences of several anime and Japanese drama series. They’ve toured in more than 18 countries including as Asia, North America, South America and Europe.
In their previous 2018 international tour, FLOW focused on the theme songs they produced for popular anime series/films NARUTO, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Tales of Zestiria the X. and Dragon Ball Z. They also toured in 2019 following the release of 2019 album Tribalythm. This 2021 tour will most likely focus on new projects, as they continue to produce new singles this year. So far this year, FLOW covered Granrodeo’s “Modern Strange Cowboy” on the Granrodeo tribute album Rodeo Freak and released their new song “Shinsekai” or “New World” was used for opening theme of the 2020 anime series Shadowverse.
