Hotbox presents probably one of the most exciting Drive-In performances of the year, Thundercat and Hannibal Buress live at the Rose Bowl Drive-In on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Due to popular demand, a second show has been added for Saturday. A matinee show will begin at 4:30 pm and a late show at 8:00 pm. This will be a socially distanced show with mask required at all times and will follow Covid-19 guidelines. The Drive-In will be held at the Area H lawn in Pasadena’s infamous Rose Bowl.

Earlier this year, R&B/jazz artist Thundercat released his fourth studio album It Is What It Is, following the release of lead single “King of the Hill.” The new album is dedicated to the late Mac Miller, his friend and frequent collaborator. The multi-instrumental artist is also associated with powerhouse acts like Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu and more. During his early years as a musician, some may be surprised to learn that he was the bass player for punk/thrash band Suicidal Tendencies for a while, especially considering his current musical direction.

Meanwhile, comedian Hannibal Buress is fresh off his Miami Nights YouTube special. Buress has been featured in Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show since 2012 and was featured on Comedy Central’s Broad City from 2014 to 2019. He’s also starred in films including Neighbors and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, The Disaster Artist, Baywatch and many more.
