Jordan Mackampa is a popular British singer born in the Democratic of Congo and subsequently raised in Coventry to Congolese parents. This combination of cultures and influences had a huge impact on his eventual love for music. Nurtured by his mother’s love for great soul singers like Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield, Mackampa fell in love with the art medium from a very young age, always performing at family parties and get-togethers. Drawing inspiration from artists like BB King, Bob Dylan, and Coldplay, Mackampa has begun to make a name for himself in the music industry as well with his acclaimed EP titled Physics. His timeless vocals and soulful lyrics have built the young artist a very promising career, one that is only projected to become increasingly successful.
Most recently, however, Mackampa has released his highly-anticipated debut album, Foreigner, in early 2020. In promotion of this album, Mackampa planned to perform at select dates in the U.S. However, the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to have other plans. Most notable, Mackampa will perform at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco on November 8th. Although this may be subject to further change as the pandemic continues to unfold, the latest has been that Mackampa will still be set to appear at Cafe du Nord on that date. Be sure to catch Jordan Mackampa there and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
