You’ll have two chances to drive up and see Hermosa Based reggae outfit Fortunate Youth at the OC Drive-In in Anaheim as they take the stage September 25 and September 26, 2020. If you’re a fan of reggae and ska, grab your tickets and head to the drive-in for a chill, groovin’ night. They’ll be joined by roots reggae band The Expanders on September 25 and Arise Roots on September 26.
The reggae sextet consists of Dan Kelly (vocals), Travis “Travi Bongo” Walpole (percussion), Jered Draskovich (keys/bass), Greg Gelb (bass, guitar), Corey Draskovich (bass, guitar, keys), and Revelation Kalauli (drums). Since 2011, they’ve released six albums, four EPs and several singles. They recently released a live album this year, Live From California which features some of Fortunate Youth’s greatest hits. The group have cited acts such as Bob Marley, Katchafire, Van Morrison and The Grateful Dead as their greatest influences.
Large outdoor spaces like The City National Grove of Anaheim have been turned into safe spaces for us to continue to enjoy live entertainment. The cost for the event starts at $200 per car, and up to $300 if you’d like a spot closer to the stage. Grab your inner circle and chill out to Fortunate Youth at the drive-in!
