See Tower of Power and Los Lobos From The Comfort of Your Car at Ventura County Fairgrounds 9/6/20

See Tower of Power and Los Lobos together in concert from the comfort of your car! On Sunday, September 6, The Ventura County Fairgrounds will host a live drive-in concert as part of their “Concerts In Your Car” series, SoCal’s first social distancing concert series. The show will begin early at 1:00 p.m. with a vintage car show featuring low-riders, antique roadsters, coupes, hot rods and muscle cars to the likes of Los Lobos fans. The car show will be displayed on the main screen as to keep the social distancing orders in tact. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m., but check the ticket tier details to grab a prime viewing spot.

Oakland’s Tower Of Power are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their landmark album, East Bay Grease. The horn-based soul/funk/rock/r&b band have kept busy ever since. Their 2020 release Step Up is just as groovy as ever, and is sure to have you dancing in your car seat.

Los Lobos are a staple of East Los Angeles. Their Tex-Mex infused rock n’ roll has been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. They gained international fandom in 1987 for their beloved cover of Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba,” which topped the US, UK charts and more.

Tickets for this drive-in show start as low as $99 to $299 per car. The higher tiers allow for closer viewing, with the highest tier granting admittance to the car show. Sound for the show will be distributed via FM radio. You can bring your friends and family as long as they can all buckle their seatbelt in the car!

Location: Ventura County Fairgrounds

Address: 10 Harbor Blvd, Ventura, CA 93001
