Three Chances to See ’80s Legends A-HA Live at The Wiltern 5/23, 5/24 & 5/25/2021

’80s hitmakers A-HA are playing at The Wiltern for three consecutive dates in May, the 23rd, 24th and 25th in 2021. This show was initially scheduled for dates in September, 2020, but has been postponed due to Covid-19. Three chances means there’s no excuse for you not to reserve your tickets!

We’ve all heard, sung and danced to “Take On Me,” the debut ultimate hit from the Norwegian ’80s synth-pop band. One does not simply think of any other song when they hear A-HA. The hit single reached No. 2 on the UK charts in November 1985 and No. 1 in the US with the MTV exposure they received from their accompanying video, which fused animation with live-action and won eight MTV Music Video Awards. In ’86 they returned with their second hit, “The Sun Always Shines on T.V.” which peaked at No. 1 in the UK in ’86, placing their debut album Hunting High and Low in the top 10 albums in the UK and top 15 in the US. Those were the golden years for A-HA…

Members Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (guitar), Magne Furuholmen (keys/guitar), and Morten Harket (vocals) have made several “comebacks” in their career since their glory days. They pursued solo projects after their initial breakup in 2011, but banded together again in 2015 for the 30th anniversary of “Take On Me.” They are still the most globally successful pop band to come out of Norway to this date.

Grab your tickets to one (or all!) of these nights and prepare to dance the night away!
