See Electronic Artist Kaytranada at the Shrine Expo Hall 6/19/21

Canadian-Haitian DJ and electronic artist Kaytranada is heading out on tour next summer with French DJ, electronic artist and producer STWO. The tour will be in support of Kaytranada’s latest release, BUBBA, which features collaborations from Pharrell Williams, Kali Uchis, Tinashe, GoldLink, Charlotte Day Wilson, Estelle, VanJess, Masego, Mick Jenkins, SiR and more. The tour was initially scheduled to start in early 2020 in Australia, but has been pushed back due to Covid-19.

Kaytranada, aka Louis Kevin Celestin starting DJing as early as 14 years old. His brother, Lou Phelps, introduced him to music production software and the rest was history. First known as Kaytradamus, Celestin released several mixes and EPs, and was also a part of hip-hop group The Celestics with his brother.

The DJ, artist and producer mixes electronic music with hip hop, soul, dance and funk. He’s known for his fresh remixes and smooth, seamless albums and frequent collaborations. Kaytranada has released over 13 projects and 41 remixes and has two full-length albums under his belt. His debut album, 99.9%, was released in 2016 and includes features from GoldLink, AlunaGeorge, Syd tha Kyd, Anderson .Paak, Vic Mensa and more. The album also won the 2016 Polaris Music Prize as Canadian Album of the Year.

BUBBA was released in December 2019 and is a smooth, well-sequenced set of tracks that are sure to get you up and dancing.
