Deftones, Gojira and Poppy will head together on tour next year and are making a stop at the Greek Theatre on September 17, 2021. The initial tour was scheduled to take place this summer with the original Greek Theatre date as August 2, but has been rescheduled due to Covid-19. This triple threat will bring their own unique metal sound to this magical outdoor theatre.
Alternative metal legends Deftones put on a powerful, ethereal performance. I was fortunate enough to see them perform last year at the Pasadena Daydream festival alongside The Cure, The Pixies and more. Since their formation in 1988, Deftones have put out eight studio albums. Masterpieces like White Pony and Koi No Yokan both received awards including Outstanding Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album and Album of the Year respectively. Both Deftones and Gojira have new albums in the works, so it’s entirely possible you’ll be treated to new music. Poppy is also fresh of a new metal-inspired release called I Disagree.
