Get Down and Dirty With Sepultura at TLA on March 21

Sepultura is a Brazilian heavy metal band that was formed in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera. They were a major influence and a force to be reckoned with during the 80’s and 90’s, making waves in the groove, thrash, and death metal scenes. They released their debut album in 1986, titled Morbid Visions. They didn’t begin to truly ascend into superstardom until their fifth album, Chaos A.D. This album is certified gold in five different countries, including Australia, Belgium, Britain, and the US. Their next album solidified them as a legendary group, transcending the genre of metal.

Their sixth album, Roots, was released 3 years after Chaos A.D. and the wait was definitely worth it for Sepultura fans. This is the finest and most complete work they have ever put out, in my opinion of course. However, the numbers don’t lie — the album went gold in eight different countries and since its release has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. They just don’t quit — Sepultura have released a total of 15 full-length albums and their most recent release came earlier this year in Quadra. Get your tickets now to see these icons hit the intimate TLA stage for an amazing night on March 21.
