Americana artist Nathaniel Rateliff is heading out on tour later this year (no postponements announced yet!) and is stopping at the beautiful Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, playing two dates December 3 and 4. His tour will include special guest The Still Tide for what they’re calling “It’s Still Alright Tour,” in support of Rateliff’s latest release It’s Still Alright. Here’s hoping things will in fact be all right by December!
Rateliffs’ new album is stripped-down folk music at its’ finest, drawing from folk, country, blues, R&B and soul. It showcases a much softer, vulnerable side of Rateliff, who has also recorded with his band The Nightsweats as an Americana ensemble. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the full group perform at for their Apogee session for KCRW after the release of their 2018 album Tearing At The Seams. The intimate setting allowed me to appreciate Rateliff’s sincere, vulnerable performance.
The magnificent Theatre at Ace Hotel will surely provide a similar experience, but on a larger scale. Definitely check out Nathaniel Rateliff on this tour with The Still Tide.
