Larkin Poe Will be Playing Theatre of Living Arts on August 27

Larkin Poe is a 4-part rock group led by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell. They are originally from Georgia but currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee. Their music has a lot of southern influence and can be described as anything from blues rock to psychedelic folk rock. They were formed back in 2010 and the band has performed at Glastonbury twice (2014 and 2016). They were even named “Best Discovery of Glastonbury 2014” by the UK’s The Observer.

To date they have released five full-length studio albums. Their most recent release came in 2020 with the album Self Made Man. This LP reached #1 on Billboard’s blues album chart on June 27, making their second consecutive #1 album. Go check them out if you haven’t — I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. After that go get yourself a ticket for their show on August 27 at one of my absolute favorite venues I’ve been to in TLA.
