Louis Tomlinson Performing for ACL Live at The Moody Theater 7/10

Louis Tomlinson has surely grown as a creative artist since his six-year streak in the popular boy band One Direction. He broke into his creativity by co-writing singles for the group including the hits “Story of My Life” and “History”. After the group split in 2015, the guys all branched out into solo careers, Tomlinson included. In January of this year, he released his debut album Walls and is set to go on his first world tour as a solo artist beginning this summer. The album features the previously released tracks “Two of Us”, “Don’t Let it Break Your Heart” and “Kill My Mind”.

On Walls, Tomlinson channels a whirlwind of themes from relationships to the nostalgia of youthful days and also taps into the grief he’s experienced after the loss of his mother and sister. With his indie pop style, his sound remains reminiscent of his time in One Direction but he ventures out into his indie rock roots and becomes an entity of his own. In the coming years, Tomlinson is working on building up his own identity as a solo artist with the desire to reflect all that he embodies into his music which will reside with fans and display who he truly is as a person.
