Smokey Robinson Performing Live at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park 8/22

Nothing compares to the era of classic soul music, a time where romantic lyrics were accompanied by velvety vocals and smooth messages of love. One of the most influential artists during this time was (and still is) the legendary Smokey Robinson. With mesmerizing hits like “Being with You” and “Cruisin’”, Smokey Robinson has become a beloved artist in R&B soul music for nearly five decades and counting. Robinson first became well-known after his formation of the music group The Miracles of Motown Records which became a prominent part of the R&B scene during the 60s and early 70s.

In 1973, Robinson released his first solo album Smokey and by 1975, he put out several R&B hits including “The Agony and The Ecstacy” and “Baby That’s Backatcha” both featured on his iconic album A Quiet Storm. Robinson has performed at countless sold out shows, won Grammy’s and several other awards and in 1987, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The soulful music legend is going on tour this summer including a performance at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Saturday, August 22nd. Doors to the event will be opening that night at 7pm then the soul pop artist will hit the stage an hour later at 8.
