TV Girl Performing Live at Mohawk 7/21

Catch a performance by indie pop band TV Girl when they hit the stage at Austin’s Mohawk on Tuesday, July 21st. This tour is in celebration of the six (and a half) year anniversary of their hypnotic debut album French Exit. Doors to the venue will be opening at 6:30pm with a performance by indie musician Jordana when the show starts at 7:30. Advance general admission tickets for this all ages event are going for $15 and will increase slightly to $17 on the day of the show.

TV Girl is based out of Los Angeles and is comprised of members Brad Petering, Jason Wyman and Wyatt Harmon. The band first began putting themselves out there via Bandcamp, creating alluring beats that accumulated several followers. Their debut album French Exit was officially released in 2014. TV Girl’s music has a swooning sound with elements of chillwave and dreampop combined with the charms of lo fi and hip hop. Their lyrics contain narratives about a female character and stress the universality of women to be treated as human and not just objects. TV Girl has released two more albums since their debut, showing great promise in the underground indie world.

Don’t miss a captivating performance by TV Girl this summer at Mohawk!
