They Might Be Giants Are Playing Union Transfer September 8

In light of the WHO and CDC’s guidelines and the current situation regarding the pandemic, TMBG have decided to move their May and April shows to later in the year. They will now be coming to Union Transfer on September 8. This alternative rock group was formed in 1982 by John Flansburgh and John Linell. During their early years, they performed and recorded as a duo. Since then, many members have come in and out. Their current lineup includes Flansburgh on vocals and guitar, Linell on vocals and keyboard, Dan Miller on guitar, Danny WeinKauf on bass, and Marty Beller on drums. They solidified this lineup in 2005 and they have been performing together since.

They have released an incredible 22 albums over the course of their careers, and they aren’t stopping any time soon. Their latest album, The Escape Team, was released in 2018 along with two other albums that year in I Like Fun and My Murdered Remains. They had an incredible year in 2018 and have been touring to promote this three-album output. Their next album is underway and you never know if they might just finish early with new found time on their hands considering the circumstances.
