Bob Dylan is one of the greatest musicians and song-writers to ever pick up an instrument or a pen. For more than 50 years he has been an incredible influence on American music and culture as a whole. He has released songs which helped to shape our lives, releasing anthems for the civil rights movement and anti-war movement such as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are a-Changin’”. Following the release of his self-titled debut album, he made his breakthrough both as a young musician and songwriter.
Dylan is pure creativity. He has also come out with eight books of drawings and paintings, and his work has been shown in major galleries. In terms of music, he is one of the goats for me. His 100 million albums sold also speaks to this claim. He’s received countless awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, an incredible ten Grammy awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award. He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. His accomplishments speak for themselves.
He is a prolific one-of-a-kind songwriter, releasing an astonishing 38 studio albums and 91 singles. Nearly all of his albums are certified in the US or UK. Arguably his best albums, Highway 61 Revisited (1965), Bringing it All Back Home (1965), Blonde on Blonde (1966), Blood on the Tracks (1975), and Desire (1976) are all platinum or multi-platinum certified. He is truly a living legend, and he will be coming to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre in July. Get your tickets now while you still can
