Weyes Blood and Crumb Take Over Pioneertown

To be completely up front, no one is completely sure what the future holds for live events within the next few months. Especially within the Los Angeles area (and the rest of California for that matter) which remains under a shelter in place order from the governor. As stated in previous articles we will continue to provide coverage of upcoming concerts, but know that any and all of these events could be rescheduled at a moment’s notice.

Weyes Blood never had much trouble getting attention in the indie world. The Portland, Oregon based indie artist made a splash with her debut record The Innocents which both won her a sizable fandom and endeared her to artists like Perfume Genius, who would go on to feature her on their records.

Her latest effort, Titanic Rising, was by far her greatest achievement. The record received universal acclaim and heralded her as the successor to artists like Kate Bush, who was cited as a primary influence on the record. The success of this record resulted in a sold out tour, and various dates opening for the equally acclaimed Kacey Musgraves and Lana Del Rey.

Weyes Blood is expected to be performing with Crumb at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown. Provided the show goes on, I’m sure we would all like to get very very very far out of our houses, so Pioneertown isn’t sounding like such a slog to get to now.
