Hailing from Sacramento, CA, this talented alternative metal collective has been on the scene since their formation in 1988. Given, the lineup has changed somewhat over the years with former members of Dominic Garcia, Chi Cheng, and John Taylor. Their current lineup, which includes all the founding members except Garcia. Their current lineup is Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), Frank Delgado (keyboards), and Sergio Vega (bass). These 5 have been together since the mid-2000’s with the addition of Vega, and they have build a great chemistry musically and on stage throughout the years,
They have released a total of 8 full albums since their inception. They released their debut album, Adrenaline, in 1995 and began to tour the country extensively. Their first 4 albums are what I, and perhaps many others, considered their finest work. Their sophomore album, Around the Fur (1997) received rave reviews and became their first album to be RIAA certified. Today, their first 4 albums are all certified: Adrenaline, Around the Fur, and White Pony (2000) all went platinum, and their self-titled fourth album (released in 2003) is certified gold. They have had a huge impact on the metal scene as a whole, experimenting and constantly pushing the boundaries and preconceived notions of the genre.
