Indie Americana band The Avett Brothers are going on tour this April and will be performing at Austin’s Germania Insurance Amphitheater on Thursday, April 30th. They will be joined by punk folk band Violent Femmes, making this show ideal for all our folk music fans out there! Doors to the amphitheater will open at 7pm and the music will start an hour later at 8pm. Tickets for this exuberant live performance are currently going for $39.50 for general admission and will increase the closer it gets to the show date.

The Avett Brothers are a folk rock band composed of real-life brothers Scott Avett and Seth Avett and also includes members Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon. Starting out on the acoustic side, they released their self-titled debut album in 2000. In later material the band began to get more electric with their sound and added components of rock & roll to their recognizable folky sound. It was their 2009 album I and Love and You which captured the attention of many and became their first most celebrated album. Their latest work Closer Than Together was released in October of last year and show how they have grown musically over the decade.

Folk rock always guarantees a night of good vibes with lots of soul, especially when you hear it live so get your tickets now!
