Testament, the stylish and unique thrash metal band out of Berkeley , CA, was originally known as Legacy back when the group was formed in 1982. They are one of the most popular and influential bands in the genre of thrash metal. The current lineup consists of Eric Peterson (guitar), Alex Skolnick (guitar), Chuck Billy (lead vocals), Gene Holgan (drums), and Steve Di Giorgio (bass). The group has had many lineup changes in their nearly 40 years on the scene, leaving Peterson as the only constant, original member. They have released a large collection of work during this span with 13 studio albums and multiple singles and EPs.

Testament has been credited as one of the leaders of the second wave of thrash metal in the late 1980’s. They are still releasing music today, with their latest release coming in 2016 with Brotherhood of the Snake. Their next album, Titans of Creation, is scheduled to be released in April of this year before they come to Philly. Their most recent album reached the top 25 on the US Billboard 200 as well as the Canadian, Austrian, Finnish, German, and Swiss charts.
