Bay Area based garage rock band Oh Sees have announced their 2020 North American summer tour dates. The band will be kicking things off in their hometown of San Fransisco, California, on the first of September at August Hall, and will end in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at Sister Bar.

Oh Sees will also be touring across the UK and Ireland in May, as well as the rest of Europe in July. Additionally, the band is set to play an upcoming charity concert presented by Panache Booking & 1720. The show will be held on May 9th at the 1720 Warehouse in Los Angeles, and will benefit The Elizabeth House & East LA Women’s Center.

Oh Sees have dropped 22 amount of albums under 5 different pseudonyms since 1997; the band has released music as Oh Sees, Thee Oh Sees, The Oh Sees, The Oh Sees, and OCS. The band’s most recent work as Oh Sees, Face Stabber, was released in August of 2019. The album received praise from critics, and was emblematic of the band’s ability to continue to keep their sound fresh and evolving throughout years of playing together.

Oh Sees released the video for “Gholü” in September of last year from Face Stabber that featured a disturbing, stop motion music video taking place in a clay kitchen. The video is indeed graphic (which is not to be surprised considering the name of the album), and a standard representation of Oh Sees’ ability to mix gruesome images and ideas with musical prowess.

Drew Feinerman: I have just completed my senior at the University of Michigan majoring in international studies with an emphasis in political economics and development, with a minor in Chinese language and culture, and I have recently been accepted into the Berklee School of Music's masters of music business program. Although my academic interests include economics, political science, and history, I consider music to be my one true passion. Music is, and has always been, a driving force for the way I think and act every day of my life. I have been playing the tenor saxophone since the age of ten, and playing an instrument at a high level has allowed me to only further my understanding and appreciation for music. While I grew up listening to predominantly classic rock, I soon found myself gravitating toward jazz, hip-hop, funk, and other genres, as my learned to both play and analyze music as a listener. As a writer, I am able to apply my skills both as a musician and a listener, and look forward to the opportunity to being able to express my thoughts on various stories in the music industry.
