Roots Roadhouse is a yearly festival that aims to explore the soul of Outlaw country, a genre that is generally not created in Los Angeles, but thanks to artists like Sturgill Simpson (and many of those on the lineup) the sound has become more popular and more desirable over time.
This year the all day festival will return to the Echo and Echoplex on 3/29 and will include the Haden Triplets, a group that boasts an impressive resume having worked with artists such as Weezer, Beck, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, Bill Frisell, Sunn O))), Mike Watt, Paul Motian, Silversun Pickups and the Decemberists.
The full lineup consists of Charley Crockett, John Doe & Exene, Pokey Lafarge, Jason James, The Cactus Pickers (Austin McCutchen of Grateful Shred, Sam Morrow, Elijah Ocean and Brian Whelan), Haden Triplets, Sierra Farrell, Leroy From The North, Rob Lienes, The Rhyolite Sound, Sie Sie Benhoff, Victoria Baily, Katie Jo and Joe Bourdet along with DJs: Friends in Low Places, Emily Rose and Cuz’n Roy
Be sure to catch this amazing show at one of our favorite LA venues, outside of Stagecoach it isn’t often that such an incredible lineup of Country greats shows up on our collective door step.
