Come Jam Out With Thy Art Is Murder at Theatre of Living Arts March 12

Thy Art Is Murder is a Deathcore band that has been around since 2006, hailing from Blacktown, Australia. The group is made up of 5 members as follows: Chris McMahon (vocals), Sean Delander (guitar), Andy Marsh (guitar), Jesse Beahler (drums), and Kevin Butler (bassist). The band’s attention-grabbing name, and the underlying culture and music that fits the title, have attracted a large and loyal fan base. The group has released a total of 5 studio albums since their formation. Their first ever release was an EP titled Infinite Death (2008). This EP reached #10 on the AIR charts. Their second full-length studio album, Hate (2012), reached #1 on the AIR charts and debuted at #35 on ARIA charts — making them the first extreme metal band to ever crack the top 40 on the ARIA.

Having two full albums and an EP under their belt at this point, their fan base was taking shape. Their following two albums, Holy War (2015) and Dear Desolation (2017), both charted on the Billboard 200. Their most recent album, Human Target, was released in July of 2019. This newest work of theirs stays true to form, with screams and sounds of a primal nature, and the music in general with its guitar grooves and riffs and crazy fast tempo. There is a brutal, aggressive, and vicious feel to their music, and Deathcore in general. If you plan on going to their show on March 12, you better get yourself psyched up and get ready for a night of hardcore jamming, head-banging, and a lot of sweat.
