As discussed before we love our classic rock bands out here in Los Angeles. Despite the city being at the forefront of a number of underground and experimental music movements and populated by a ton of hipsters we’ve always been star obsessed at our hearts. So what better place to have a classic rock group show up for a massive show?
While Los Angeles and the people within love all the classic rock bands from ages past, there is no band that is more well loved in this city than The Doors. The legendary rock band fronted by the equally, if not more legendary Jim Morrsion. The group itself was a bit of a flash in the pan, after meeting in Venice in the late ‘60s the group released eight albums in five years, with at least three, The Doors, Strange Days, and L.A. Woman being considered some of the greatest albums of all time. Suddenly Morrison passed away and poof, it was gone. But the legacy of The Doors endures beyond the death of Morrison and even beyond the death of keyboardist Ray Manzarek.
On 1/23 the remaining members of The Doors, Drummer John Densmore and Guitarist Robby Krieger take the stage of the Wiltern with an incredible lineup behind them. The lineup will feature Jason Mraz, Robby Krieger, John Densmore, Fitz & The Tantrums, Ingrid Michaelson, Maddie Poppe, Phillip Phillips, Scarypoolparty, Dave Stewart, Kaya Stewart, morgxn and is sure to be one of the biggest events of the year so make sure to snatch up some tickets if any are left.
