King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard is an Australian experimental rock band hailing from Melbourne. This 7-member group was formed back in 2010 and they have released an extensive discography, consisting of 15 studio albums as well as various live albums and extended plays. Their style throughout the years has transitioned to a more hardcore, head-banging style. Some of their early works from the albums Oddments (2014) and Paper Maché Dream Balloon (2015) have a softer quality, with slower tempo that almost feels like folk rock. Their most recent albums stay true to the rock music genre and the band’s image, with music to vent to and could almost be considered thrash metal.

Although King Gizz has just come off a 2019 tour, the group has recently announced that they will be embarking on another in spring of 2020. The tour kicks off in April, hitting all the major cities and finishes on May 6. They will be joined for their shows by Leah Senior. The band has released two studio albums this past year, Infest The Rats’ Nest and Fishing For Fishies, and they are going right back on the road. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to catch an amazing set by King Gizz, especially at the fascinating and unique Franklin Music Hall, which is a General Electric Switchgear Plant converted to a concert venue. This is definitely a night to remember – get your tickets now!
