Lightning In A Bottle Announces 2020 Lineup Featuring Purity Ring, Amon Tobin Presents Two Fingers and DJ Shadow

Lightning in a Bottle has announced its 2020 lineup and it’s one of the more impressive entries into the crowded electronic music festival scene. Artists performing at the festival, which takes place at Buena Vista Lake just southwest of Bakersfield, CA and around a hundred miles north of Los Angeles, include Kaytranada, Bob Moses (doing a club set), James Blake (doing a special DJ set), DJ Shadow, Purity Ring, Amon Tobin presents Two Fingers and much more.

The festival is broken down into three stages: Lightning Stage, Thunder Stage and Woogie Stage. At the Lightning Stage, which focuses on electronic artists, will be Kaytranada along with Sylvan Esso, GRiZ, Four Tet, Big Wild, Jon Hopkins, Doja Cat, Empress Of and many more. Also performing at the main stage is Lucent Dossier Experience, who are returning to Lightning in a Bottle after a three year hiatus from the festival.

On the Thunder Stage, which naturally turns its focus to bass-heavy music, will be the special James Blake DJ set, Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, Keys n Krates doing a DJ set and dozens of other smaller artists. At the Woogie Stage, which is the home of house and techno music at LIB, will be Nina Kravitz, Bob Moses doing a “club set,” Stephan Bodzin, Justin Martin, ARTBAT and more.

The festival takes place on Memorial Day weekend, which is May 20-25, 2020. Five-day passes are available, which allow guests to enter the festival a day early on Wednesday in order to beat the traffic into the festival, as well as access to the lakeside party with music from members of the group Desert Hearts. The festival also has offerings besides music, including health and wellness workshops, yoga programming, installation art throughout the venue and activities such as rink-a-dink roller rink to the Unicorn Palace or Jive Joint.
