Run The Jewels producer El-P has announced that the new Run The Jewels album will be released before the duo is set to take the stage at Coachella this year, according to Paste. The announcement took place over Twitter, when El-P responded to a fan pleading for the reveal of a release date over social media:
i do apologize for your stress. the album will be out before we play coachella and def not this month that’s all i can say now. we will announce a hard date soon. https://t.co/L61enyPhFL

El received support from fans following the exchange, but was quick to show his appreciation for all of his supporters and ensured the only reason for the delay is to make sure the album will be at its best.
i’m not mad at people wanting the record that’s love. but yeah i don’t have a choice but to wait until it’s mixed, mastered and ready to go 🤷🏼♂️ https://t.co/SajfJIxt4k

The upcoming album, RTJ4, has been highly anticipated, as the release between RTJ4 and their most recent album, RTJ3, is 4 years in the making, their largest gap between albums since the release of RTJ in 2013. Despite this, the duo of El-P and Killer Mike have remained active touring, and are even involved with highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack.
El-P also stated on Twitter that the official date will be announced soon. Read more about everything RTJ4 here.
