Catch Deadmau5 At The Met On January 23-24

Deadmau5

Deadmau5 hails from Canada and he has been one of the top DJ’s in the electronic and techno music scene for over 10 years. He is a well-respected, progressive, and talented artist. Deadmau5 started his music career with fellow musician Derek Caesar under the group name ‘Dred and Karma’. He came out with his debut solo album in 2005, Get Scraped. Refining his sound and experimenting with a more progressive style of house music over the next few years, he broke through onto the scene with his third album, Random Album Title. His follow-up to this album, For Lack Of A Better Name, solidified him as a legit artist who is here to stay and included hits such as ‘Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff’, ‘Hi Friend’, and ‘Strobe’.

He is also famous and perhaps most well-known by the masses for the massive mouse head that he wears during all of his sets. Not only does it separate him from the rest of the pack, but it adds a great element to his performances and keeps a veil of secrecy surrounding his identity (unless you google it, of course). His last studio album was W:/2016ALBUM/, which was released back in 2016 but he came out with a compilation album last year, called Where’s The Drop? Deadmau5 has been known to put on some pretty wild shows, like his sets at VELD Festival, Rock in Rio, and Coachella. He will be performing at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House on January 23 and 24. Mark your calendars and make sure to get your tickets ASAP.
