Rock In Rio Lisbon has just announced their 2020 headliners featuring Foo Fighters, The National, Camila Cabello, as well as other artists, according to Rock In Rio Lisboa. This is the 16th year of the festival, and is set to take place this Summer during the weekend of June 20th and June 27th in Lisbon, Portugal.
The National have been announced today as the openers before Foo Fighters during the festival. The grammy nominated band will no doubt feature songs off of their 2019 album I Am Easy to Find, along with other songs from the albums that span the band’s 20 year career. The Nationals will be fresh off their performance at Best Kept Secret in Washington, D.C, taking place the weekend before Rock In Rio Lisbon. Read more about the Best Kept Secret festival here. Foo Fighters will take the stage following The National, and although their latest music was a surprise release of a live EP recorded in Roswell for Area 51 Raid Day, perhaps the music made on that album will provide the perfect ambience for a live show. Cuban born singer Camila Cabello will also be headlining, and although she is new on the scene, she has already recorded music with big names like Young Thug, Shawn Mendez, and DaBaby. Perhaps the biggest headliner of the festival, however, is Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas have already cemented themselves as icons of this musical generation, and this performance at Rock In Rio Lisbon will be the group’s first performance in Portugal’s capital since 2004. The group played Rock In Rio last year in Rio de Janerio; read more about the Black Eyed Peas in Rock In Rio 2019 here.
The rest of the lineup is set to announce closer to the date of the festival.
