Kanye West is preparing to perform at Joel Osteen’s Night of Hope. The upcoming gospel event called Osteen’s “America’s Night of Hope” is slated to take place on May 2, 2020, at Yankee Stadium in Concourse, Bronx, New York City. West’s Sunday Service choir will feature in the event, Fader reports.
This is not the first time West teams up with Osteen. West previously performed at the stage of Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston on November 15. During the church performance, West preached himself as the “greatest artist that God has ever created” and asserted that he is serving Jesus, while pointing out most creators in the industries are “stolen” by Satan.
Organized by the Osteen’s family, the touring church event “America’s Night of Hope” aligns with West’s religious beliefs. Joel and Victoria Osteen visit different states of the U.S and bring together people from different backgrounds. According to the official website of “A Night of Hope,” the event “is filled with praise and worship music, encouragement from Victoria Osteen, a special testimony from Dodie Osteen, a prayer time together and an inspiring message from Joel Osteen.”
A week ago, West released a music video for “Closed on Sunday,” featuring Kim Kardashian and their children. His music video of “Follow God” also invited his biological father to be a part of the starring. While the Christian West becomes more family-oriented, he is still driven by his ambitions as an artist. West has been buzzed over a tight schedule since the release of his new album Jesus is King. West started to tease an IMAX documentary to accompany the album before the album was dropped. After the release of the album, he debuted the Nebuchadnezzar Opera at the Hollywood Bowl and teased “Jesus is King Part II”. West’s second opera Mary is reported to take place at Miami Marine Stadium on Sunday, December 8 (the final day or Art Basel).
